What a wonderful place. We were very warmly welcomed and when we enquired about having a meal, we were told that the chef wasn't in that night but that the lady who served us could make meals except the salmon which we thought was very gracious and honest. By the time we had ordered our drinks and looked at the menu we we're told that the chef was coming in especially for us. We didn't have to wait long after we ordered our food before we were served.
We stayed in room 2. It was perfect. Beautiful room, spotlessly clean with bags of character. Plenty of storage and hanging space available too. Tea & coffee making facilities available too. There’s a mini fridge in the room that is topped up with bottled water daily. There’s also an iron and board too. The pub offers beautiful home cooked food. We have eaten in it previously and did so on this occasion too. Always perfectly cooked, especially my favourite gammon. Jamie, Lyndsay and Joe are the perfect hosts who always make us feel welcome and we will definitely be back again. Thank you all. If anyone is thinking about booking a stay, try and include a Friday night in summer season because Graham sings. Fantastic times.
